Argos account hack
If you're an Argos customer, change your password immediately — use something completely different from any other account. Watch for unauthorised purchases on your account and keep an eye on your payment cards; these crooks have already nicked your details, so they're halfway to emptying your wallet.
Stop and think before you act. If something feels urgent, threatening, or too good to be true — that urgency is the weapon. Scammers use pressure to override your judgement. Nothing is ever so urgent that you can't take five minutes to check, call back on a number you found yourself, or ask someone you trust.
What's happening
Report Fraud has recently warned of a rise in reports of criminals using personal details of Argos customers, likely gleaned from data breaches, to log in to their accounts with the retailer.
