Cyber Threat Report: UK Legal Sector
If you work in a law firm and receive unsolicited contact claiming to be from the NCSC about cyber threats, verify it by ringing the NCSC directly ΓÇö don't use any number they've provided. Scammers know that law firms handle sensitive information and money, so they'll pose as officials to gain access or trick you into revealing security details.
Stop and think before you act. If something feels urgent, threatening, or too good to be true ΓÇö that urgency is the weapon. Scammers use pressure to override your judgement. Nothing is ever so urgent that you can't take five minutes to check, call back on a number you found yourself, or ask someone you trust.
