Defending against China-nexus covert networks of compromised devices
This isn't a consumer scam but a serious infrastructure threat — if you manage networks, take the NCSC's guidance on device hygiene seriously, as these compromised networks are being weaponised at scale by state-nexus actors. Keep your defences sharp; these criminals play a longer game than your typical fraudster.
Stop and think before you act. If something feels urgent, threatening, or too good to be true — that urgency is the weapon. Scammers use pressure to override your judgement.
