International cyber agencies share fresh advice to defend against China-linked covert networks

If you manage any systems at work ΓÇö particularly in critical infrastructure, energy, or government ΓÇö take this seriously and report any suspicious network activity to your IT team straightaway; these tactics are designed specifically to hide in plain sight. For the rest of us, the basic hygiene matters most: if something seems off about your email or accounts, trust that instinct rather than assuming you're being paranoid.

Keep your devices and software up to date ΓÇö security updates patch the exact vulnerabilities criminals exploit. If you're notified that your login credentials may have been compromised, change your password immediately and enable two-factor authentication. Use a password manager so every account has a unique, strong password.
