Delivery / Parcel via SMS / Text Message
Royal Mail won't ask you to verify delivery details via text links — they'll either leave a card or you can check your account directly on their official website. These messages are designed to look urgent, but a moment's thought reveals the con: legitimate carriers don't request address updates through suspicious links.
Don't tap links in unexpected texts. Scammers are particularly effective at making texts appear to come from real organisations, including your bank and HMRC. If the text claims to be from someone you deal with, go to their official website directly — type the address yourself, don't use the link.
