8 Red Flags — Here's What Gives It Away

  1. 1. Sender address has a long number string in the local part (lhlvnybcpbjaqn.77054791751095@...) ΓÇö sign of automated spam infrastructure.
  2. 2. Sender domain is random gibberish ΓÇö not a real company.
  3. 3. Username (allanw74) used as greeting ΓÇö not your real name.
  4. 4. No service named anywhere ΓÇö 'Your Subscription' with no company, product, or account number.
  5. 5. 'We have tried to reach your account several times' ΓÇö fabricated contact history.
  6. 6. '[Final Warning]' in square brackets ΓÇö imitation of official notice language.
  7. 7. 48-hour deadline ΓÇö manufactured urgency to prevent you thinking clearly.
  8. 8. Actual plaintext email body (when inspected) is random obfuscated characters ΓÇö a spam filter evasion technique.
What to do if you get one of these

This email was sent to millions of addresses. The criminals behind it are relying on the fact that most people have at least one subscription they're not quite sure about ΓÇö and hoping you'll panic-click before you think.

A real subscription termination notice will always clearly state: the company name, your account email, the subscription product, and a way to log in to your actual account. This email has none of those things.

If you're genuinely worried about a subscription, check your bank statement for recurring charges and go directly to each service's website. Never click a link in an email that doesn't name the service it's supposed to be from.
